Pjur Analyse Me Silicone Personal Lubricant - 250 ml Bottle

The pjur Analyse Me Silicone Personal Lubricant is a silicone-based lubricant that comes in a 250 ml bottle. Its formula combines dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol with jojoba seed oil, and it contains no water, fats, perfumes, parabens or preservatives. pjur says a few drops are enough, that the glide lasts a long time and that it doesn't turn sticky or dry out.

Who it suits and who it doesn't

It's a good fit if water-based lubricants don't go the distance for you and you'd like one that, according to the brand, lasts a long time without topping up and without a sticky feel. If you steer clear of perfumes and preservatives in anything that goes on your skin, you won't find them here. It also works as a massage oil, so one bottle covers both uses.

If you mostly use silicone toys, you'd do better to look elsewhere: as it's silicone-based, it's generally best not to combine it with that material, as it may damage it. It isn't for you either if you can't tolerate jojoba, as jojoba seed oil is among the ingredients.

• If you have sensitive skin, test a small amount on the inside of your arm first and wait a while before using it on intimate areas.
• A lubricant is not a contraceptive and doesn't protect against sexually transmitted infections.
